For Landlords

  • 1

Detectors are installed into all of
    the applicable properties
  • 2

    Using SMS messaging, the Detectors
report their status via the GSM
    mobile network. Status messages
include ‘Alarm’, ‘OK’ and ‘Battery Status’
  • 3

All of the messages are received by
    the Smart Compliance secure servers
and are logged in a database
  • 4

The messages are sorted in real-time
by priority and displayed on screen in a
    monitoring center
  • 5

    Alarm messages trigger both a
    visual alert on-screen in the
    monitoring centre and an automatic
    response via SMS messaging to
    the responsible party.

Landlords and Social Housing

Smart Compliance firmly believes that within the next 10 years all social housing landlords will have chosen to fit the Smart CO Detector. That’s because we designed, patented and built it to provide a better solution in every possible way:

  • More Effective in providing Safety
  • More Efficient in providing a Compliance Data Trail
  • Able to reduce the cost of False Alarms and Forced Entry

Legislation, Duty of Care and Good Practice

The provision of carbon monoxide detection equipment is now a reasonable requirement under a standard code of good practice and subject to specific legislation.

Smart Compliance Solution

Smart Compliance can directly address the specific challenges faced by property owners and managers.

Your Smart Compliance solution includes logging of all testing in a secure central database and can evidence that a landlord has complied with their legal and duty of care responsibilities.

Your Smart Compliance detector automatically sends a weekly SMS message to a secure central monitoring service to confirm that it is operational and that both the battery and sensor are functioning appropriately. Each device will also alert the monitoring service should a fault be detected and appropriate action can be taken.

If CO is present, the unit will automatically inform the monitoring service and an emergency response can be initiated.

Discover Smart Compliance Technology

The Smart Compliance technology comprises a carbon monoxide detection unit containing an inbuilt roaming SIM card to send SMS messages to a monitoring centre. SMS messages can also be sent to multiple mobile devices.

If CO is present, the unit will issue audible and visual alerts and will send an alert message to the monitoring centre from where the emergency services can be rapidly notified. The unit will also self-test it’s carbon monoxide sensor and battery every week and send a confirmatory message to the monitoring centre.

A database maintains records and provides evidence that carbon monoxide detection capability is active and that all legislative, duty of care and good practice obligations have been fulfilled.

Smart Compliance carbon monoxide detectors are battery powered and can be installed in existing and new buildings without disruption.
