Three Network Goes Down as Smart Compliance System Carries On as Normal

Wednesday night the Three network faltered and was not restored to normal connectivity until the following afternoon on Thursday. With O2’s network outage only occurring in December 2018, that now marks two of the big four mobile carriers in the UK with serious network downtime in the last year. A troubling trend indeed for those who rely on a single network for their connectivity!

Despite this, the Smart Compliance system stayed live throughout both incidents as it uses a roaming SIM with no preference for mobile network.

Smart Compliance Director, William Mitchell, stated ‘This method of connectivity is essential for a life safety awareness system that reports carbon monoxide and smoke incidents externally in real-time, and we are extremely pleased to see it working as normal and keeping people safe throughout these outages!’
